Yani’s Latest Additions

Haven’t done one of these for a while so there’s a bunch… Here goes!

In no particular order…

Nike Air Jordan XI ‘Bred’

Beautiful Suede Black Wedges (girly time!)

Timbs
Nike SB Blazer Mid
Nike Air Jordan IV
Nike Air Force 1 Mid

I don’t have a favourite pair out of all of these and they’ve all been worn LOADS since I got them.. They’ve all basically been on rotation!

Which is your favourite?

And so they’ve dropped… the Bred 11s…

Just thought I’d do a little post in honour of them as they are a serious sneaker!

Get them now from Nike in sizes small enough for our little soles, a steal at £95!

Go on, treat yourself, it’s Christmas!

Everyone Loves Cake….

So with spring in full effect, I thought why not start off the fresh month of April with a sweet treat!

As some of you may have guessed from my name ‘Lemon Cake’, I like cake, ALOT! I did do a ‘Little Lemon Cakery’ blog last year but the cakes all got too much to juggle with the rest of my life! So for now, that side of my life is dormant but I still enjoy baking at weekends, for friends birthdays, occasions and looking at other peoples amazing creations!

Here I have collated a list of my favourite sneaker related cakes from over the last couple of years for you guys to enjoy….

MJ’s JORDAN IV BIRTHDAY CAKE

Perhaps the oldest Sneaker Cake in the history of sneaker cakes, was Michael Jordan’s Air Jordan 4 Cake that was presented to him by his Madukes and Pops back in 89′!

TIFFANY NIKE SB DUNK BIRTHDAY CAKE

Sneakerhead Matt Jae from LA celebrated in fashion in December 2011 with an incredibly accurate Nike ‘Tiffany’ SB replica cake! My personal favourite SB too!

AIR JORDAN 11 BLACK/RED GROOM’S WEDDING CAKE

Now this one has to be my absolute favourite! It was made my Texas based Sandia Horng aka @WhiskThis and this was actually her first ever sneaker cake, can you believe it!

“The Bride wanted to surprise her fiancée Mike with an awesome Grooms Cake for their wedding and came up with this idea. She said that this was Mike’s absolute favorite sneaker! We talked about several concepts but in the end she gave me full trust on the whole design. So I made an Air Jordan sneaker shoe box along with the shoe to display in front of the box.” – Sandia Horng

She is a really talented lady so make sure you check her blog out here!

Nike Air Foamposite One “Dark Neon Royal” & ‘Galaxy’ Birthday Cakes

Feast your eyes pon’ deez! I had to look a few times and check that this actually was a cake because it looks so close to the real thing its scary!

Galaxy
And again another Foamposite but this time in the form of the recently hyped ‘Galaxy’. These also look too real to be edible! As a fellow baker, I know I need work on my icing modelling techniques, and I’d LOVE to know how to create the galaxy print effect!

I dont know about you but I’d love to dig into this French vanilla flavoured freshness, made by ‘Made Fresh Daily Cakes’

Enjoy your cake with a slice of Farma G & tweet us your sneaker cakes to @bigeyeslilsoles!

Peace & CAKE!

My BRED & Butter….

2012 sees the return of the Air Jordan IV ‘Bred’ Black / Red which happens to be my second favourite Jordan! The swish black and red colourway with the grey midsole & eyelets and black netting make this Jordan a PURE CLASSIC! Set to release on ‘Black Friday’ 2012 (November)

ON TOP OF THAT… we’ve been hearing rumors flying around that the Air Jordan XI Black/Red could be hitting the shelves in December! Now this IS exciting, so get saving because November/December 2012 could potentially be expensive months!

Peace & Rizzzzz

Jordan XI Concord

Santa J came early for some on 23rd December as they queued for hours, or battled with the online crowds to cop a pair of the new Jordan XI Concords! I got up early and headed down to Footlocker, Market Street (I’d been in during the week to make sure they had GS sizes coming) and got mine! Jordan XI Concord 2011 Xmas Tree Such a classic sneaker – white upper, black patent leather bottom and clear sole. It looks like its only purpose was to be on a basketball court or my shelf. Easy to rock with tight or baggy jeans, but a match made in heaven for my new Raiders jacket and aztec print leggings!

Nike has dropped some dope retro J’s this year like the recent Black Cement III’s, or the New Wolf Grey V’s, but for me these had to be the most anticipated, and by far my best buy of 2011! Looking forward to 2012 even more now!
