SoleDeVida Talks Sneakers Part 1

So I’ve been following this lovely lady on Twitter for a while. She’s got a MAD amount of sneakers and is a true FSF! So when we got talking I thought, who better to interview than someone reppin’ Big Eyes, Little Soles on a weekly basis all the way from the USA!

So here’s the interview!

-Name/age/where do you live?

Ivelisse a.k.a. SoleDeVida  27 yrs old  live in Reno, NV for work but originally from NYC.

-First sneakers you ever bought?

Nike Air Force 1 Mids (White on White Uptowns)

-Is there a particular sneaker that sticks out from your youth?

Nike Air Force 1 Mids (White on White Uptowns) stick out the most because they were all white and went with everything. Money was tight back then so having a variety of sneakers to go with every outfit was not possible.

-Did you own them?

Yes, they were my signature sneaker.

-What’s your favourite pair of sneakers of all time and why?

Nike SB Huxtables. I love the soft wool material used on the sneaker as well as all the colors and print.

-How many pairs do you own?

160+

-Do you have a pair of kicks in your collection that you don’t wear very often and why?

I try and wear all my sneakers at least once but with work, there are pairs that have yet to become un’ds’ed.

-Staple everyday pair in your collection and why?

Any pair of Jordan 1. I love the high top sneaker look and the silhouette is classic.

-Is there a particular style that you keep re-buying? eg: Mine is the AM90 and AM1.

I love the Air Jordan 1 silhouette which lead me into buying Nike Dunks and Nike SBs.

-Beaters or best for raves?

I have 3 pairs of these Jordan 1 Black and White’s. One of the pairs have become my beaters.

-Grails?

Jordan 4 Cool Grey’s

Reminders!!

So last week the Jordan True Blue III’s were released, with almost exact OG features, the OG box, tag, leaflet and cement paper, unlike the release 2 years ago which came with… well, a crappy box.

Although lately we are seeing more Jordan releases than we can shake a stick at, these are most definitely a must have in any Jordan collectors pile!!

Next up we have the newly released Asics X Ronnie Fieg GT-II Ultra Marine (and a sexy woman who goes by the name of Bibiana Juliana for you boys), a silhouette that Ronnie has been working on for 3 years, after sending samples back a few times he was finally happy with these badmans!

Having never have been a fan of Asics before, I can honestly say, I would be more than happy to rep these beasts!

Believe Me, It’s GS True…

I’ve been drooling over the Jordan 3 Retro ‘True Blue’ release for a while now, thinking that Nike wouldn’t be releasing the beautiful sneaker in GS sizes..

Well, it appears I was VERY wrong!!

YUM! The Air Jordan III Retro GS ‘True Blue’ release made especially for small feet!!
Such beasts, I can’t wait to add these to my collection!
Although we have to make some small sacrifices for the GS J3 released (less eyelets being one), I still love these True Blue’s, nothing’s going to stop me making a purchase.
The elephant print looks sexy as ever, but it’s the deep, true blue that makes this sneaker what it is. My other two pairs of GS J3′s have bright hints in the sock liner, mid sole and branding, however, this release has a more understated and mature feel to it.
We’ll have to wait until around the 4th June to be able to buy these, I can’t wait!
