The Black Sheep

Bringing you some bright news from not-so-sunny Manchester….. The Black Sheep store have just opened a sister branch in the quirky dwellings of the Underbank, Stockport (next to Evolve).

“The foundations for The Black Sheep were laid over 20 years ago with the now infamous “Sheep Store” which helped in forming the history of the Manchester skateboard street scene, with past team riders like Andy Scott, Rik Cooper, Femi Bukanoli and many others.

From there, they then went on to open Manchester’s only indoor skatepark known to the locals as Central to support the local scene in what’s probably the Nations wettest city. So now with everything under one roof and the street spots all within skating distance things couldn’t be better.”

Now, they have stepped things up and opened their doorstep too the people of Stockport! There is a strong skate scene in Stockport with skaters like John Bell, Nick Stansfield, Chris Barrett, Ben Rowles, Reiss Johnson & Dave Monaghan rising from the cobbles. Not forgetting, with all these hills there are some great little street spots hidden about!

The Black Sheep will be stocking more premium brands such as Milkcrate, Diamond, Mighty High, Vans, HUF, Nike, Adidas, Emerica, Altamont and much more. Penny cruisers, decks, bags, hats, T-shirts, skateboard parts and headphones… what more do you need under one roof!?

Perfectly placed 5 mins walk from the bus/train station and 5 minutes walk from the local skate park. The Black Sheep store is in the Underbank area of Stockport which is flourishing with independent business, you can find the store at:

5 Mealhouse Brow,
Stockport,
Cheshire,
SK1 1JP

So get down and check out the new shop! Also – peep The Black Sheep Instagram @blacksheepstore and Facebook page to stay up to date with the freshest sheet from the skateboard world.

Peace & Love!

Adidas Campus Vulc ‘Chewy’

Adidas skateboarder Chewy Canon has earned his stripes! After skating for Adidas for some time, Pro rider Chewy has made his mark on the brand with his colour-way of the Campus Vulc’s.

With a black suede upper and yellow heels, 3 leather white stripes and sockliners the Chewy Campus Vulc rides a gum vulc sole making them a show stopper in skate shoes, they really do look the part (in my eyes) no skate shoe is compete without a gum sole!

The Vulcanized sole construction, geo fit ankle collar and uprated inner sole makes these skate shoes comfortable and durable for all those long days catching clips.

Official release will be on 29th September with a launch party in Liverpool. You can cop these from retailers like NOTE Skate Shop in Manchester or if your not local, off their website www.noteshop.co.uk

Check out Chewy Canon’s section from the Adidas Skateboarding Diagonal team video released in May 2009. DOPE STUFF!

Peace yo!

Another Size? Exclusive!

We love a Size? Exclusive, especially when it’s a version of a silhouette we often buy. This one is no exception.

Nike Air Max Light Fall 2012 Preview – Size? Exclusive

Both pairs are set to release some time this Autumn and are both amazing in their own right.

However, the grey/bordeaux colourway is definitely a favourite of mine. The deep red colour set against that luxurious looking grey suede all up next to the bright white mesh, makes this shoe the perfect finish to any outfit. That bordeaux red definitely conjures up images of an Autumn scene in my mind!
These won’t release in my size, but I’m sure some of you will be lucky enough to get your hands on them! We’ll keep you posted with updates.

Which one’s your favourite?
