Nike WMNS Air Max 1′Charcoal/Sail-Gym Red’

Suede on an AM1 always looks tasty but in this charcoal colour, it looks even tastier.. Seriously smooth. Add the animal print in a similar grey tone and white, against the sail Swoosh and midsole you’re on your way to a perfect sneaker. However, the little touches of red bring the shoe to life and it’s an all round win for me!

Yani’s Latest Pick Ups

Over the past month or so I’ve managed to get my hands on some perfect Summer sneaks.

Check them out!

Nike WMNS Air Max 1 ‘Fast Love’ ‘Sport Red/Sail-Sail’
I have a feeling some people were getting this release confused with the Liberty release and I can see why, however, the print is very different, as is the upper of the shoe.
The Sail midsole isn’t as yellowed/vintage and the upper consists of suede and canvas. These AM1s will round off my usual Summer staple of light denim jeans/short and a marl tee, perfectly!

Nike Air Jordan 4 Retro ‘White/Military Blue-Neutral Grey’
I wasn’t sure I’d like this release on me but after I tried them on, I fell in love. Along with my 6′s and my black/cement 3′s, these are my favourite Jordans (that I own). I wore them on a trip last weekend and couldn’t stop looking down. They just look so clean and the blue makes them so bright and stand out. I love them!

Nike WMNS Air Huarache LE ‘White/Voltage Yellow-Net Grey’
I’ve been looking for a replacement pair of Huaraches as my 1990′s pair are very close to being unwearable and then these popped up on eBay! I just had to get them and luckily enough, I did!
It’s like walking around with sunshine on your feet. I wore them to work last week and smiled the entire time! Comfortable, light and super Summery!

Here’s my latest additions…

Nike WMNS Blazer Mid LR ‘Black/Anthracite/Violet Wash’
I’m a massive fan of the SB Blazer and have never been hugely drawn towards a standard Blazer or the vintage releases. These are the perfect mix! The anthracite padded tongue and heel make them super snug, that vulcanized sole which I love, in a vibrant violet and the snake skin effect Swoosh all work together to make a perfect shoe for wearing day in, day out.

With the Lunarlon addition to the sockliner, these are as comfortable as my SB Blazers, which is something I’ve not been able to find until now!

The colour of the violet sole on the website is incorrect and it looks like a gum sole. Don’t be deceived, I’ve spoken to Nike customer services (who were really helpful) and it’s a mistake on the website. Get yours here.

Reebok WMNS Classic Leather ‘White’
After writing my post the other day about how I miss my old Reebok Classics, the guys over at Reebok got in touch with me and have sent me a pair from their secret stash! Luckily they had my size and I can’t thank them enough! I definitely didn’t start this blog to get freebies, but it really did make my week when they turned up at my house!

As comfy as ever and as simple as I remember, these really do speak for themselves. These will definitely be my Summer staple shoe, but as they’re so hard to find in the all white leather, I’ll only be wearing them when I’m 100% sure they won’t get ruined!

The leather is so soft and makes the shoe feel really premium. I love them!

Nike WMNS Air Max 1 ND Liberty ‘Imperial Purple/Sail’
Well, what can I say about these. The most girlie shoe I own, and totally different from anything I’ve ever had.

I have stayed away from kicks with a vintaged midsole as I think they just look dirty, but these aren’t just yellowed, they’re sail and glossy so it really adds to the feel of the shoe. The fact that they’re a deep purple colour makes them slightly less feminine and the material on the upper of the shoe is perfect. These are such a classy AM1 and I’ll be picking and choosing the right outfits to wear them with. There’s a UK7 and a UK9 left on the Liberty London website but apparently they will be available for general release from Office/Offspring in May so get in touch with your local store and get a pair reserved!

I’d Like To Sail Away On These

I love seeing premium materials covering my favourite silhouette, I also love a black Air Max 1. If these beauties don’t get your taste buds tingling, I don’t know what’s wrong with you!

Nike Air Max 1 Premium ‘Black/Sail/Hazelnut’

The black suede/leather upper looks so, so smart, especially up against the sail leather Swoosh and eyelets which really bring the deep black to life. The whole shoe is perfectly rounded off with the hazelnut leather tongue tab, heel branding and midsole. Overall, a tasty looking shoe which I know would happily fit in with my other mini AM1′s.

Unfortunately, I have an inkling that these won’t drop in my less than average size, but rest assured we’ll fill you in with release dates and availability as and when we know!

Feeling A Bit Crooked

One of the first places I look for new kicks in my little size, is Crooked Tongues. Not only is CT extremely well respected, they ALWAYS have an amazing selection of sneakers in stock and more often than not, in a wide range of sizes.

These Blazers are no exception!

Nike Blazer Mid ‘Green Abyss/Sail’
Nike Blazer Mid ‘Melon Crush/Sail’
Both sporting a vibrant colourway on that classic Blazer silhouette, I can’t pick which is my favourite pair. The white Swoosh and mid sole really bring the rest of the shoe to life and add a crispness against the rest of the upper.
There’s just something about a Blazer mid that calls to me. Although I prefer an SB Blazer, the shoe in general is not only one that can be worn day in, day out, but they’re always SO comfortable!
Available for pre-buy now here from a UK3 – UK9.5, before their expected release in February, don’t sleep on these beasts!

Gift Kicks

December was a good month for my feet! My boyfriend knows exactly how to make me smile and gave me two pairs of small sneaks.. one for my birthday and the other for Christmas.
Among the other amazing gifts I received.. these two are making it onto the blog, and you’ll soon see why!

Nike AM90 Hyperfuse iD
He put his creative skills into play and designed me these beasts, which I ABSOLUTELY LOVE!

I love an all black sneaker and when the Hyperfuse 90s were released, I was dreaming of a completely black pair in my little size. Unfortunately, this didn’t happen.. until MY BIRTHDAY!
The upper is seriously brought to life by the vibrant red sole which, I think is a perfect addition to this understated sneaker.
And to top it all off..

That’s me! I always thought adding writing to an iD design was a bit weird, but as it’s all black and not instantly noticeable, it’s all good. They look amazing on.. the other day I wore them with AA black shiny nylon tricot leggings and a forest green marl tee.

Next up..
Nike WMNS Air Max 90 VT ‘Medium Grey/Sail’
The Vac Tech releases didn’t actually appeal to me until I saw them up close. I just wasn’t sure about them.. maybe I’m too much of a creature of habit? Anyway, when I opened them on Christmas day I was pleasantly surprised! Not only are they completely different from anything else I own, they’re SO COMFORTABLE! The premium lining makes my feet feel so snug and cosy. A really smart sneaker, these were the perfect pressie!

Nike Air Max 1 ‘Black/Sail-Anthracite’

A while ago Yani gave you the heads up on these sick AM1s, and now they’ve been released!

Although these are slightly different from the ones in the original post (the originals were brown, whereas these are black), these aztec beasts are the perfect winter sneaker!

Having a leather base makes them ideal for the rain (and probably snow) that’s bound to fall upon us soon, and the colours in the aztec print look really wintery!

Well, they’ve been released and are available at JD Sports! Just in time for this AMAZING weather..

This year seriously, us ladies seriously have been looked after by Nike, so thank you!!

The price might seem quite high, but this AM90 release is like no other WMNS drop in 2011, these are fully fresh and totally timeless. I also can see these being worn across all seasons, they’ll appear icy in winter and have a cool, fresh, beach vibe in the summer.

Come payday, these will be mine!

So get your BIG EYES down to your local JD store or online here, and buy yourself a pair.. don’t forget to send us pics, these are straight fiiyyah and will be the perfect finish to any summer outfit!

Trawling through Cali Roots (Six Feet Down), searching out my next purchase..
Nike AM1 ‘Glacier Blue/Sail’

I posted these bad boys in December, and was under the impression that they were for the male sneaker heads out there.. but no, they’re WMNS!
Available in Europe via Cali Roots, for only 119 EUR, these are definitely making their way into my Want Of The Week List.
It seems that in 2011, Nike is really looking after us sneaker-ettes!

The touches of orange on the Swoosh, laces, lining and other branding paired with the ‘Glacier Blue’ suede and white mesh make these sneakers PERFECT for Spring.

On a boat made of these!!

AM1 Blue/Sail
Beautiful in all the right places. They’re fresh looking, bright and totally not over the top.
They remind me of an icy winter when the sun sets (but I’m really weird!)
These will look great with any outfit and will carry over amazingly into Spring and Summer.

Ready to drop in 2011, get your hands on a pair of these beauties!
I know they won’t be available in my size, but they’re so so sick!
For once, I like bright laces, normally I strictly go for plain white, grey or black laces.
Make sure these don’t get dirty though, they’d look rubbish with brown hints on them!!
Mmmm tasty!!
