Air Jordan IV ‘Cavalier’ Drop This Saturday!

So, after much deliberation over the nickname, we can finally reveal the Air Jordan IV ‘Cavalier’ (or ‘CAVS’ for short) are going to be hitting shelves this Saturday 12th May!

For those wondering why the ‘Cavalier’ nickname, it is a tribute to Mike’s infamous shot (otherwise known as ‘The Shot‘) in the 1989 Eastern Confernce First Round which propelled the Chicago Bulls to the second round of the playoffs.

Although the Cleveland Cavaliers’s kit is now more renowned for it’s modern burgundy/gold colour-way, these sneakers play a true homage to the old school white/blue kit from 1989.

Personally I’m really diggin’ the orange accents on these and as most of you Knicks fans know, blue and orange on a pair of Jordans….you can’t go wrong! If you’ve seen any of my previous Jordan posts, you know I could baffle on all day about the Jordan IV silhouette, so you know I have a loving opinion for these babies.

Available this Saturday (12th May) from limited Jordan retailers. I know that the only Footlocker in the UK getting GS sizes is Oxford Street London/House of Hoops, all other sizes available from limited Footlockers across the UK. Make sure you go and reserve yours as not all stores will receive them, and if they do expect limited numbers!

Peace & L<3ve!

A Classic Update

The Nike Air Max Classic BW is the latest silhouette to get the Vac Tech treatment and I have to say, I think it’s my favourite VT offering so far. Available in two colourways, the VT element gives the shoe a clean, streamlined look.

Nike Air Max Classic BW VT – Anthracite/White

The suede uppers look so smooth! The rich orange accents on the heel and air unit against the white really set this shoe off.

Nike Air Max Classic BW VT – Wolf Grey/White

Wolf grey really is that perfect shade of grey. It looks great on any silhouette, on either a sunny or a rainy day and these BWs are no exception (although, you wouldn’t want those suede uppers out in the rain). The navy accents give this shoe a bit of a softer feel, compared to the kicks above. I love how the branding on the tongue is barely visible but really stands out on the heel.

Both pairs of these beasts are available from Titolo!

UPDATE!! – Taste of the Tropics

You may remember the post I did a couple of months pack on these lusciously tropical Air Max 1s, well I’m pleased to announce that they are now available to pre-order from Crooked Tongues here. These release/ship in May and start from a 3 so are perfect for any little soles out there looking for a bright and tasty summer shoe. Even the colourway description sounds opulent: Melon-Crush/Hot-Punch/White/Yellow-Diamond.

Here are a few up-close photos for your viewing pleasure:

The contrast in materials between the suede and canvas upper looks pretty cool, and I’m glad that the toe-box is mesh as it will clean up much better than if it were canvas!

Send us some pics if and when you bag yours, I know I’ll hopefully be rocking mine when release day rolls around.

Peace and love,

Tash

1999

The first time I realised how important trainers were was when I got a pair of Air Max BWs and my brother told me how ruff I looked (if you’re not up on your 90s lingo then get to know). From that point on me and my Nikes were inseparable.

Anyhoo, before I drown in Air Max BW nostalgia check out these bad boys:

NIKE AIR MAX BW – White/Team Orange/Black

These are proper old school and I love them! A vibrant orange makes any pair of Nikes pop but this particular silhouette gives this colourway has an extra bang. Adding to the fact that I owned a pair very similar to these back in the day makes these trainers a winner for me.

Cop yours now from End Clothing

If they came in my size I would truly be rocking them like its 1999…

Two Thousand XII

You may recognise these babies from their last release at Christmas 2008, so I would like you all to give a warm, 2012 welcome to the XII pack!

The ‘Siren Red’ and ‘Cool Grey’ colourways are coming in GS sizes for little soles!

I especially LOVE the embossed lizard skin pattern, but that would be because I am a ‘jungle girl Jane’, I love any animal inspired pattern! The construction and firmness of this sneaker is Mos Def considered to be the most comfortable and durable kicks of all the Air Jordans. For me, the XII set a new direction in style and technology in shoe design which went onto develop and merge together the XII and the XIII to create the Jordan 12.5 which I think are absolutely beautiful!

Keep it Big Eyes for exact release date, anticipated for May and where to cop!

For now…. Peace & Riz

Blazin’ Beasts!

Nike Blazer Mid VT – Anthracite

Another “Tech” update, this time from Nike’s continuously dope VacTech collection. We’ve already seen VT versions of the Air Force 1, Dunk High and Air Max 90 but this Blazer update has got to be my favourite.

The embossed Swoosh and suede material keeps the shoe looking really neat and sophisticated. I absolutely love this dark, mysterious Anthracite colour. The fresh white sole contrasts with it perfectly and the flashes of orange on the tongue label and bottom of the shoe subtly brighten up this beast.

Missoni X Converse

Missoni x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star

I absolutely love Missoni prints. Whether its on a bag, jacket, dress, skirt or sneakers, the mix of strong colours, lines and zigzags always looks amazing. Being on a student budget, Missoni clothing is absent from my wardrobe which is why I’m particularly excited to see that Converse has reunited with brand once again to bring us another batch of gorgeous All Stars.

Available in either a cool, wintery blue colourway or a warm, burnt orange colourway (my favourite of the two), these beauties are released this Saturday 1st October from Hanon!

Our Turn!

It’s the women’s turn to get a new colourway of Air Max 1, this time in Gridiron, Teal, Orange and White. We know only too well how hard it is for women to find Air Max 1′s in their size, so maybe this Miami Dolphins-esque colourway will tempt you?

Make A Change

From reading this blog, you’ll see that us three girls have a thing for Nike sneakers, mainly Jordan’s and Air Max.
Well I’ll let you in on something not many people would know… I love the Adidas Gazelle!
It became almost impossible to find the black/white colourway in my size, quite a few years ago and so I’ve not got any pairs in my collection at the moment.
Now, JD have a pair in stock which have caught my eye..
Adidas Originals Gazelle II ‘Navy/Orange/White.’

The blue suede upper is seriously tasty and it’s given a whole new depth when it’s placed next to the orange branding and sockliner. The white tongue, in my opinion, gives the sneaker that vintage feel, which I love! Overall, a fresh and pretty rad sneaker!

Back To The End Of ’92

Nike Air Pegasus ’92 ‘Beige/Blue-Orange’

I love a vintage looking sneaker and when it looks as rad as this, I’m more than happy!!
The bright blue mesh is so fresh against the truly vintage look of the beige suede body. The deep orange Swoosh and branding has a weathered feel but complements the other colours found on this sneaker and finishes off this piece of footwear art perfectly!
I love these and really am gutted that I won’t be able to add them to my tower of Nike shoe boxes :(
