SPOTTED!!

Word up peeps!

So I was at work last Thursday and I spotted some serious heat on my colleague’s feet that I had to share with y’all.

Here are Adam T’s Nike Air Huarache Light Burst Safari Pack in Olive/Black…

These kicks are absolute beasts and the olive on black is very reminiscent of Supreme releases from the last few seasons. Wish I could find these beauties in sizes for mini-feet.

Peace and love,

It’s the shoes, the shoes? It’s gotta be the shoes…

Worrrrd, chief rocka number one here celebrating the event of finally acquiring my white cement Jordan IVs yesterday afternoon.

Yesterday was a big day for a lot of Jordan heads out there, with the first IV drop of the year. IVs are definitely one of the most popular Jordan silhouettes and a personal favourite of mine. I managed to cop not only a pair of GS Jordan IV White Cements for myself, but a men’s pair for my boo also. Shout out to my girl April for hooking me up with my GS pair, check her twitter here!

Sorry guys, but I have to say I much prefer the GS shoe. The men’s pair seems to feature what I can only describe as a large black splodge in the middle of the midsole, rather than the continuously speckled cement midsole of the GS shoe, and I think it looks kinda odd. The GS version also feature two eyelets on the wings and fewer lace holes which I feel make the shoe itself look much less convoluted. Check it out for yourself below…

Anyway, here’s a few more pictures of the GS version for your ocular pleasure…

Here’s me rocking mine with tribal American Apparel leggings, a Patta tee and Stussy snapback, due to the plain neutral tones these kicks are quite easy to wear, and will go with pretty much any outfit.

A word of advice if you’re copping men’s sizes – these seem to fit quite large so I’d suggest downsizing half a size or a size.

Cop yours quick before they’re gone!

Peace and love,

Tash

Clash of the Titans…Obsidian Vs Black?

Yes yes y’all!

Take a moment to feast your eyes on two of the freshest Air Max 90 drops I’ve seen in a while. This canvas pack features an entirely canvas upper in either Obsidian or Black with light blue and grey accents respectively. Both colour ways are straight heat as far as I’m concerned and are a fresh and interesting take on the usual mesh and leather/suede materials seen on your average AM90.

The general release date is currently shrouded in mystery but they are currently featured on Chmielna 20′s Facebook page here.

Peace and love,

Max to the Orange, Orange to the Max

Wordy word!

My want of the week are definitely the Air Max 90 Vac Techs in ‘Anthracite/Max Orange’. I’ve been staring at them every day at work for the last week, and they are a sure fire contender for my S/S work purchase. Coming in a lush nubuck material, the grey uppers and midsole come to life against the orange tongue and outsole, which really make this shoe pop. The subtle hint of colour will definitely brighten up any dull outfit, yet isn’t in any way overbearing, and these are still easy to wear with jeans, chinos, bare legs, or black tights.

Can’t wait to (hopefully) add these to my collection!

You can cop yours here!

Huarache Free

I managed to pick up a seriously vintage pair of Huarache’s last year and although they’ve sat in their box for the majority of the time I’ve owned them, they’ve made a few appearances and my feet have smiled the entire time I’ve had them on.

Enough of that.. check these out!
Nike Huarache Free ‘Black/Turquoise/Magenta’
This release sees a colourway which is reminiscent to a 1980′s shell suit which I’m sure I used to run around in as a hand-me-down in the late 80s/early 90s! I love them! And with the addition of the ‘free’ sole this hybrid is fresh and old school, both at the same time.
We’ll keep you up to date with when and where you can cop!

Take Flight

The theme of my recent sneaker purchases has definitely been the black upper and I’m going to carry it on with this, after all, I’m definitely a creature of habit!
I’m not sure whether these will drop in small sizes, however I thought I’d show you all them anyway!

Nike Air Flight 89 ‘Black/Zen Grey/Cool Grey’
With a similar silhouette to the Jordan IV (which I love) and in a timeless colourway, these Air Flight’s are a serious contender for one of my favourite staple everyday shoes! The smooth and perforated leather upper and the black and tonal grey accents work perfectly together with just the right mixture of colour and texture on a shoe to keep it understated enough to be worn from day to night!
I love this sneaker and REALLY hope it comes to Europe and is available for us smaller footed ladies!

Threesomes With A F**king Tricerotops….’Raptors’

With 2012 set to be another HUGE year for Jordan brand, they recently announced a September retro release of one of their most striking colour ways, the  Jordan VII Raptor/Charcoal. Named after the Toronto Raptors due to their colour scheme, these beauties first dropped in 2002.

VIIs are my favourite Jordan silhouette and I think they look gorgeous on women’s feet, so copping these in a GS size would be a dream come true for me.

The jury is still out on the exact colour make up of these Jordans, whether they will turn out like the all-black suede of the OG pair released in 2002 above, or more like the tonal grey and black combination of the 2009 retro released as part of a Countdown Pack below.

However they turn out, these will be a must-cop for most savvy sneakerfreaks and sneakerfreakettes out there, and we’ll be updating you on these until release day!

Tash

Jordan XI Concord

Santa J came early for some on 23rd December as they queued for hours, or battled with the online crowds to cop a pair of the new Jordan XI Concords! I got up early and headed down to Footlocker, Market Street (I’d been in during the week to make sure they had GS sizes coming) and got mine! Jordan XI Concord 2011 Xmas Tree Such a classic sneaker – white upper, black patent leather bottom and clear sole. It looks like its only purpose was to be on a basketball court or my shelf. Easy to rock with tight or baggy jeans, but a match made in heaven for my new Raiders jacket and aztec print leggings!

Nike has dropped some dope retro J’s this year like the recent Black Cement III’s, or the New Wolf Grey V’s, but for me these had to be the most anticipated, and by far my best buy of 2011! Looking forward to 2012 even more now!
