Take Shelta..

No that’s not a typo, it’s where the next pair of kicks I’m going to blog about are available..
I’ve always said I love a simple colourway on a classic silhouette like the Air Max 90 and there’s no change with this release.

Nike Air Max 90 ‘Black/White/Neutral Grey/Midnight Fog’
When an AM90 has a black leather upper, it always makes it look sleek (just my opinion though) but put that against the midnight fog accent, neutral grey mudguard and the white branding, inserts, Swoosh and sock liner, this AM90 is perfect already. However it doesn’t end there, the black suede overlay adds a whole new texture to the shoe making it stand out in the crowd with no trouble at all.

A sneaker that can be worn from day to night, this is a must buy for anyone with feet sized UK6.5 and up!

Still UNDFTD

UNDFTD x Nike Dunk High Hyperstrike

These are sooo ill! The clean white on white Dunk above is one of 24 exclusive sneakers designed by the crew over at UNDFTD in 2002. 9 years later a size 10 pair of these beasts have found themselves for sale on eBay for a cool $1500.

In addition to the white uppers, the shoe boasts a subtle neutral grey sole and a really nice burgundy UNDFTD logo on each outer heel.

Autumn Pre-Orders

Two sick new Air Max 1 colourways for men and women are dropping this October. Both pairs are available to pre-order from Crooked Tongues now, check out the pics below!

Nike Air Max 1 – Neutral Grey/Obsidian

The blue and grey combination gives these a real masculine and Wintery feel. I love the flash of blue on the bottom!

Next up,

Nike Air Max 1 WMNS – Medium Grey/Black/White

Sizes for these beasts start from as small as UK3, adding them to the long list of dope women’s releases from Nike this year. The yellow accents on these are the perfect way to brighten up the grey uppers!

Cool Runnings

Nike Air Max 90 ‘Medium Grey/Mineral Blue’

AM90 Medium Grey/Mineral Blue

While grey may not be our favourite colour when it comes to the weather, we love it on our kicks!

These Air Max 90s feature Medium Grey uppers, Neutral Grey mesh and Mineral Blue inserts and Swoosh, giving them a soft, muted feel but the dark blue laces really help the sneaker to stand out, making them strong and quite masculine (perhaps the male counterpart to the WMNS Glacier beasts Yani posted here?!)

AM90 Medium Grey/Mineral Blue

My sneaker collection is severely lacking in the blue department and I just love how these sneakers are so simple yet really strong. I’m definitely going to hang on until the winter to rock these cold kicks.

There’s no word on UK stockists yet, but get them here from the good folks at Titolo.

New GS Jordan Beasts

Here is my third and final latest purchase
Nike Girls Air Jordan 3 Retro GS ‘White/Crimson/Neutral Grey/Wolf Grey’

After buying the fire red/cement grey Jordan 3 Retro’s earlier this year, when I saw this release, I knew I had to have them! The grey cement print is so muted and understated, but totally offset by the crimson branding, eyelets and sockliner. Although my other pair may be my favourite of the two, this pair are still amazing and I’m looking forward to more sunny days when I can wear these with pride!

These sneakers do come with a second pair of laces, which I won’t be wearing. They’re multicoloured and are a bit too young for me. These may be a girls grade school release, however, I’m wearing them in a more adult way haha!

Old Skool FIIYYAH!

So I haven’t filled you all in with my latest purchases. Over the past few months I’ve managed to pick up some amazing finds.

Here is number one of three..
Nike WMNS Air Max ’95 ‘Neutral Grey/Citrus’

These were released in October 2000 and are now mine, unworn, new out of the box.

The base colour is so fresh, and with the citrus branding, eyelets, air bubbles and sole this sneaker is perfect! I’m totally in love with them and so happy I managed to grab them and add them to my collection!

Although the neutral grey is a wintery colour, with the bright additions, these look amazing with a pair of shorts, against tanned legs! I can’t wait to wear these out loads this Summer. It’s also amazing to finally have an old Nike sneaker box in my shoe tower, how I’ve missed that two tone box!

Watch Out For That Glacier!!

Nike WMNS Air Max 90 ‘Neutral Grey/Glacier Blue’

Wohoo! An AM90 for us sneaker-ettes!
I’ve been looking for a pair of grey 90s for so long, but they’ve always looked too boyish on me. We’re seeing the neutral grey upper appearing quite a lot recently and I love it!

The subtle leather and mesh upper is brought to life by the Glacier Blue inserts found in the Swoosh, tongue branding and lower lace holders. This pale blue fully makes me think of springtime and the simple colourway will go with any outfit!

I’ll definitely be rocking these this spring, probably with denim shorts and a white tee (my staple ‘warm weather’ outfit!)
We’ll keep you updated on release dates and stockists.

Take A Photo, It’ll Last Longer!

Nike Air Max Light ‘Neutral Grey/Neo Lime/Black/Photo Blue’.

I’m quite partial to an Air Max Light, and there’s been some rad colourways popping up recently. This one included!

Neo Lime accents can be found on the branding, eyelets and Air unit, this bright addition to the sneaker really lifts the grey and brings a sense of sunshine around the shoe!

The liner and outsole are a photo blue colour, like an April sky, it brings all the colours together and is seriously eye catching.
Although these colours could be placed together and make a sneaker garish and ugly, this subtle combination is perfectly balanced, resulting in an amazing release for the AM Light!

Jordan’s X Sneaker-Ettes

Air Jordan Retro 7 GS ‘Neutral Grey/Mineral Blue/Bright Violet/White’
Check these beasts out!
The Jordan brand have done it again, thinking of us ladies!
Maybe a little too retro for some, I think this colourway is sick!
Team these 7s up with dark leggings/jeans and a fresh light coloured tee or sweat and you’ve got a seriously rad outfit!
With a neutral grey nubuck base against the white leather overlay, this sneaker could seem quite muted and easily hidden in a crowd. However, the bright violet and mineral blue found within this sneaker really take me back to my childhood, these are two colours that work so well together and make this shoe PERFECT for the Summer!!

More Lady Jordan Love

Air Jordan III Girls Retro (GS) ‘ White/Crimson / Neutral Grey / Wolf Grey’
The more subtle of the two GS Jordan drops this year, this sneaker is still straight fiiyyah!
The matt grey on the elephant print, against that tasty looking leather is smart enough, but with the addition of the crimson inserts, this Jordan is set to fly off the shelves.
Big love to Nike for thinking of us little feeted people in 2011!
Available in the US on April 16th, let’s hope we can get some here soon after!
Remember to go up half a size as they do come up quite small.
Team these up with chinos, leggings or jeans, but make sure your tee/sweat is sick and stands out so as to not get lost because these sneakers are just too rad!
