A work of art or a pair of sneakers – You decide! It’s not very often that a Jordan collaboration happens, but when it does – oh it’s magical!

You may of already heard of Liverpudlian artist David White in the early 2000′s when he painted his favourite Jordan’s onto canvas with his own style! Well…he’s baaaack! David was asked to tag team with the Jordan Brand again to create his 2nd Air Jordan I sneaker. As you can see he stuck to using the primary Jordan colours with an burst of David White energy!

“The absolute intent was to make something that actually looked animated and dynamic, explosive and alive even when standing still. I wanted the shoe to almost look like it had been dipped in paint and is exploding with energy” said Mr White, and he was right!
The shoe features a black / red / white colour-way, all the while incorporating leather, suede, and (obviously) the elephant print, all united with a splash of David White! But…have you noticed something….missing? That’s right – no SWOOSH! Personally, I miss the swoosh but I defiantly think that the rest of the sneaker makes up for it in a very unique way! A beautiful pair of trainers that I don’t think I could ever wear outside.. mos def ‘shelf shoes’!
The ‘Wings For The Future’ tag reads:
“With every pair you purchase, a proportion of the proceedings will benefit local communities as a part of Jordan’s WINGS for the Future.
WINGS for the Future is Jordan’s commitment to inspire and enable youth to learn more and be creative all while making a lasting impact on the world.”

These babies were released on a limited basis to a few of the major Jordan brand retailers across the world with the RRP at $175, but since Saturday I have seen a few pairs on ebay etc. topping more than £1,000!
There have been mixed emotions from the sneaker community, but what do YOU think? Let us know!
