Liberty Cop

Nike recently joined forces with Liberty of London to bring us girls this amazing colourway of the AM1. A Cortez and a Free 5.0 was also thrown in to the mix but I knew I had to go for the AM1, one of my favourite silhouettes in the sneaker world!

Having chatted to a fair few collector friends of mine I had every doubt in my chances of picking a pair up, considering I live in Manchester and assuming there would be massive queues outside the Liberty store in London on drop day, I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to order online. I’d been floating around work for a few hours before my brain (coffee) kicked in and I dropped everything and ran over to the laptop to order some

I was able to pick up a couple and had a peep on eBay, after a day of sales these babies had sold out and some people have already decided a pricetag of £300 is a worthy sum…. what do you think?

Taking Liberties

Despite the ridiculous amount of rain that fell over London today, the Nike Sportswear X Liberty collab continues to inject a bit of summer into our lives. Check out the latest drop in the collection below!

Nike Wmns Blazer Mid Prm

These are a little less girly than the other sneakers in the Liberty of London collection as they don’t feature the traditional all-over flower print, and I really like the use of bold colours contrasted with a white sole, Swoosh, branding on the back and laces. I still haven’t got over the fact that I missed out on the ’09 Nike x Liberty Blazers, but these are a worthy replacement! Slide over to Nike for yours.

AM90 x Liberty Of London

Lei and I aren’t flowery, girlie girls.. However, we know there’s a whole bunch of you out there that will love these.. So here they are!
Nike AM90 Liberty Of London (although there Dunks in this picture too, we are only reviewing the 90s)

The original Liberty Dunks were released in 2008 and had an amazing response as well as those released the year later. These are set to drop in a few days on 1st April (and this is no April Fool trick).
It’s actually kinda nice to see something so pretty, feminine, vintage and 1940′s inspired up against a silhouette that represents the 1990s and for me, being a total tomboy! The juxtaposition of the two actually really, really works!
Although I wouldn’t wear these as I said before, I’m not girlie enough.. These would look totally rad on any girl, even those who don’t normally wear sneakers. These are something different to the norm and we have to embrace it!
Normally these are available in limited numbers, so keep your big eyes on the look out for these!
