Yes yes y’all!

With Spring now upon us, it’s time for the S/S Nike releases to start flooding out.

Here we have the latest Huarache colour way, Light Bone/Soft Grey/Calypso. These are hands down my favourite colourway of all the Huarache Free 2012 releases so far, the teal/turquoise colour is gorgeous and really reminiscent of an OG Nike release. The soft neutral tones are lifted by the hint of colour through the side and bank panels, making for a very well put together colourway indeed. Although I’m not all that keen on the free sole, I think these babies more than make up for any reservations I may have and these will be a surefire cop for me.

Huarache Free

I managed to pick up a seriously vintage pair of Huarache’s last year and although they’ve sat in their box for the majority of the time I’ve owned them, they’ve made a few appearances and my feet have smiled the entire time I’ve had them on.

Enough of that.. check these out!
Nike Huarache Free ‘Black/Turquoise/Magenta’
This release sees a colourway which is reminiscent to a 1980′s shell suit which I’m sure I used to run around in as a hand-me-down in the late 80s/early 90s! I love them! And with the addition of the ‘free’ sole this hybrid is fresh and old school, both at the same time.
We’ll keep you up to date with when and where you can cop!

A hybrid sneaker always gets people talking and I’m sure this one has as well..

Nike Huarache Free 2012 ‘Grey/Blue’ & ‘Black/Yellow’

I’m not too sure how I feel about combining these two Nike sneakers. I love Huaraches and also think there’s something really nice about the Free. The upper and lower don’t look awful next to each other but knowing what they look like as their original silhouettes, makes me wonder whether they looked better as they were.

I guess I’ll only be able to decide fully what I think of them, when I can see them in person next year..

Well two people, quite close to me are in fact called William and Catherine…


How ladylike..
Lei-Mai used to be called Catherine, before she daringly changed her name to what it is today, via Deed Poll.. I think her passport still states her name as Catherine though.. for now!!

And, Skilliam, well we all know his real name is William (how regal).

Since starting my new job, I’ve not asked for any of the samples to take home (even though I’d love to have most of them!)
