Ugly Mely x Reebok

Not so long ago, Reebok joined forces with a few inspiring ladies such as  french blogger sensation Ugly Mely, singer Nneka, MTV journalist Boss Lady,  illustrator Olka Osadzinska and jewelry designer Melody Ehsani to form a collaboration with each lady on the new Reebok Betwixt MID model.

The concept for the project was for each lady to incorporate their own design desires both personal & professional and life influences onto the Betwixt MID to create their own model.

I’m proud to present the Big Eyes Little Soles readers with the elegant and stylish, Ugly Mely x Reebok Betwixt MID!

As you can see, this sneaker was greatly influenced by her most frequent form of transportation, her beautiful bicycle!

Mely had this to say on her blog about her influence behind her design:
I immediately wanted the model to be like me and my bike as I ride it in my everyday life. I imagined my Reebok model with its same lightness, delicacy and simplicity. I took my leather bar tape, a strong but marked by purple color leather, so it gives it a feminine side. I also took the cream color of my bike and choose it for the Reebok bands framework, adding a snake skin effect.

I absolutely adore these! Really diggin’ the feminine, sleek silhouette along side the strong colours. I’d love to get hold of a pair of these beautiful sneakers and a peice of female sneaker history!

The sneakers will be presented  this October (from 1st to 30th october) at the french GalleryL’imprimerie (rue St Merri, in Paris) and also be sure to check out the Ugly Mely blog for a chance to win a pair of these beauties via her facebook competition which ends October 7th! Find out more information HERE.

Also – make sure you check out the other collaborations by using the links at the top of the post!

Peace & Love!

The Levi’s x Nike SB Dunk Low’s are looking fresh to death! Flexin’ a black on black exterior, the shoe uses a canvas /denim look base with small flourishes of red over the Levi’s heel branding. Release Reminder – Supreme x Nike SB Dunk Low

OOSH! Look at these beauties – these are definitely ones for the true sneakerheads!

To celebrate 10 years since Supreme’s first collaboration with Nike SB, the dynamic duo have teamed up again to bring you these babies. Inspired by all things Nike and all things FRE$H, these Nike SB Dunk Lows represent Supreme to the fullest as well as paying homage to this heavenly collaboration.

The ‘Supreme X Nike SB Dunk Low’ comes to us presented in the classic BRED (black and red for those of you who arn’t familiar with the term, and if you’re not, slap yourself now!) with the ever so popular elephant print, inspired by the Jordan III’s. If you copped the 2 other pairs of Supreme x Nike Dunk Lows, you’ll know that they are considered one of the best SB’s of all time, but I think these are probably going to tip the scale.

Available from Supreme’s stores in London, New York & Los Angeles as well as the on-line store TODAY (or 21st for all our visitors reading from Japan)!

These are going to be hot hot hot to get hold of, so if anyone gets a cop, be sure to tweet to @BigEyesLilSoles and instagram tag #bigeyeslittlesoles so we can see em’!

Word em’ uP!

New Nike x Liberty Release

I’m definitely a sucker for a sneaker which features a new print.. The Lotus Jazz Liberty print on these releases is no exception.. I’m drooling over them right now!

With a mixture of every day sneakers and running shoes, this Liberty x Nike collab with it’s lotus jazz print and little neon additions is my favourite yet. The Air Max 1, Free Run+2 and Vintage Blazer Mid Rise are my favourite pairs but the others are just as nice and what makes them all the more appealing is that they’re a WOMEN’S release, perfect for us smaller footed sneaker fiends.
The suede on the AM1 in that deep blue/grey adds just the right texture to this nearly all over print shoe, to stop it being garish and keep it just toned down enough to not make your feet look too loud!
I love a black Nike Free Run and the little touches of the Liberty print and neon heel tab and  and tongue branding make me want to buy a pair and go running all over London!
On the Lunar Glide+4, the neon Lunarlon midsole makes this shoe for me. All this neon is making me want to pull out my OG AM95s from their box in my shoe tower!
The block colour on the Lunar Montreal makes this sleek silhouette stand out for miles, making any runners feet smile!
Last but not least, the vintage Blazer. As much as I’m not a huge fan of the vintage Blazers, this colourway is so different from anything I’ve seen before, I could possibly put my issues with the build of the shoe aside and get myself a pair.

I thought I’d only blog the sneakers from this release that I’m actually a big fan of, there is a pair of Dunk Skinny Hi’s and Air Force 1s that you can get your hands on as well.

As a HUGE addition to these amazing kicks ready for you to cop, you can go instore at Liberty London and get yourself a Destroyer jacket to match your shoes!

Get yours here.

If you get yourself anything from within this release, be sure to Tweet, Instagram or Facebook us the pics and add the #bigeyeslittlesoles as well!

Reebok x Marvel

This has to be my absolute favourite news I have ever had the pleasure to spread…. and its NOT a Jordan post! I’m a bit of a comic girl so this is like sneaker Christmas and birthdays all wrapped into one!

Reebok have collaborated with the one and only Marvel to bring you a collection of sneakers based on some of Marvels most iconic characters.

The collection features classic models of Reebok sneakers redesigned with details and colour-ways to reflect Marvel superheroes or villains, such as; Captain America, Red Skull, Wolverine, Sabretooth, Spider-Man, Venom, Black Widow, The White Queen (Emma Frost), Deadpool & Chamber.

Captain America will be featured on the Reebok Ventilator, first released in the ’90s. The design includes material and colors that have been inspired by Captain America’s uniform with scale embossed overlays that mimic his armor.

Red Skull will be featured on the new Pump Omni HLS shoe, Using military inspired materials, with a textured leather tongue (reminiscent of Red Skull’s face, which is featured on the insole),not forgetting the HYDRA logo on the heel.

I particularly admire how they have captured Sabretooth’s true characteristics using the Reebok Night Sky Mid. Featuring different textures and colours to reflect a true likeness, right down to the Reebok Classic logo being slashed on the tongue.

NOW for the ladies… Black Widow will be featured on the ever so classic and still popular, Reebok Freestyle which first debuted in 1982. The design uses materials that mimic her shiny leather suit and show-stopping red hair, along with gold Velcro straps and a Black Widow logo hangtag. Vice versa for the Emma Frost (White Queen) sneaker. Her shoe also features the X-Men logo on the tongue and a diamond hangtag.

Check out the rest of the collection below!

Spiderman

Venom

Deadpool

Chamber

Wolverine

Although my school girl crush would have really appreciated some Thor kicks, I have to say these will do quite nicely for now, I want them ALL!

Keep it Big Eyes for more news on where to cop these babies and when they drop!

Let us know what you think – @BigEyesLilSoles

Nike X Liberty Blazer

It’s hard for me to admit, but I have definitely started to let myself become much more of a girl when it comes to choosing sneakers and these have definitely caught me out. We are treated once again, to a beautiful collaboration from Nike and Liberty, this time with the classic Nike Blazer in an intricately detailed Yellow Liberty Print. I can’t believe I am saying this, but they are just so PRETTY.

These stylish Blazers are dressed in Lagos Laurel Liberty Print, an updated take on the usually psychedelic paisley prints which have always played a part in the Liberty brand. Alongside the off-white vintage midsole, with white swoosh and flat laces, these treads feature a tan leather back tab, side sections and tongue branding to finish off the classy look.

Good news for most feet, these treasures are available in a UK 3 – 9, but be quick, because as always these will be snapped up and will not be around for long!

Cop yours now direct from Liberty.

Enjoy:

Peace, Bee x

Offspring X Vans Era 59

So, before the April showers decided to drench us all, I was convinced that summer might finally have been on the way. Luckily, Offspring have once again teamed up with Vans to create another sweet drop of the Era 59, which will certainly keep us on the summer vibe!

This collaboration sees a clever first in trainer design, with use of a matte textured rubber for the toe box area, which symbolises the grip tape used on skateboards to link with Vans renowned skateboarding culture. These gems are a feast for the eyes, featuring premium leather on the tongue, heel and flag, with rich suede middle quarters, in a multitude of colours. Finished off with boot style laces, I feel these beautiful kicks will look dapper rocked with just about any outfit!

Good news for all the Little Soles – these treats are available in sizes UK 4 – 11, but are only stocked in very limited numbers, so go cops yours here and here now!

Peace out,

Nike Air Force 1: Pearl Collection: XXX 30 Year Anniversary Size? Portobello

Take a look at this video from the guys over at size? Portobello, to celebrate the the  amazing Pearl Collection, released for the 30th Anniversary of the Nike Air Force 1.

I personally prefer the pearl Air Force 1 Lux MX Air ’08 with their Vac-Tech upper and full-length visible Air Max unit to the all denim AF1 low, mainly as I’m not a massive fan of denim sneakers!
It’s not just sneakers in this video though, the photographer is my boyfriend, check out his work here.
