I’ve bought quite a few pairs of trainers recently so I thought I would share them with you;
Asics Gel Lyte III – I bought these from Hanon who currently have a really good sale on, and even have some Asics in women’s sizes. The speckled midsole and the split tongue (which prevents any sliding to the side) are my favourite features.
Nike AM95 Valentines Edition (2000) – I picked these up on eBay for a bargain price, and they were in pretty much perfect condition.
Nike Cortez Nylon – I recently went to WellGosh in Leicester and saw these, unfortunately they only had them in mens sizes. I was determined I would get them so I nipped into Nike Town where thankfully they had them in my size.
Nike’s ‘Hot Punch’ colour has been creeping up in WMNS colourways for a little while now (check it on AM90s and AM1s), and the brand have used it again for a bright, bold, block-coloured Air Max 95!
Nike WMNS Air Max 95 Hot Punch/Storm Pink-White
There’s absolutely nothing subtle about these kicks. A white air unit, sole, lining and trim around the Swoosh tactfully break up this perfect, feminine but not too girly shade of pink. It can be seen from a mile off and is guaranteed to brighten up any outfit!

So the International day of Luuuurv has arrived, and who said it has to be all about that special ‘person’? Why not appreciate your feet and love your kicks!
I spent all morning drinking hot water & lemon, looking at Valentine’s inspired kicks and listening to the DJ Kydro Show ‘Valentines Special’! Sounds like a pretty good start to the day right? To top it all off I’ll be loving my feet on the ramps later in my red skates tonight for the TNS (Tuesday Night Skate) @ UKSKATE in Stockport!

A new AM95 release will be dropping within the first 2 weeks of March this year. I feel that quite a lot of the time people overlook the AM95, just going for the AM1 and AM90 straight away. This sneaker is a force to be reckoned with, always looking streamlined and fully one of the most comfortable shoes you’ll ever wear.
Anyway, back to the matter in hand.. check these beasts out!
Nike Air Max 95 ‘Stealth/Neptune Blue’
This really is a release which speaks for itself. The Stealth grey body is understated and not over the top in any way. However, a colour which could sometimes seem quite dull, is fully brought to life when paired with the Neptune Blue, which is vibrant, stand out and one of my favourite colours.
Although it may not drop in small enough sizes for me, this 95 will definitely look good on both the female and male sneaker fiends out there. Coming straight to a Nike retailer near you.. keep an eye out in March and let us know if you get a pair!

Feast your eyes on the
Air Max WMNS ‘Sunshine’
Black / Soar / Hot Punch / White
White / New Green / Bright Mango / Black
White / Club Purple / Turquoise Blue / Dark Grey
A mixture of a few of our favourite Air Max silhouettes, I think I’m going to fall in love with these as soon as I see them up close.
The colourways all work amazingly together, they’re going to be perfect for Spring and are definitely reminiscent of those already seen on air max’s.
I can’t pick a favourite of the 3 we’ve been teased with as I’m sure they’ll look slightly different on my feet, compared to in the image above.
You can’t actually see it in the pic, but there will be an air unit on the heel, something I always loved about the AM95.
There’s not much more to say other than I’m fully excited and thanks to Nike for looking after the ladies!
At the moment, I know they’ll be available here next year, but we’ll let you know about a UK/Europe stockist once we find out!
It’s clear to see that over at Big Eyes, we aren’t really girlie girls!
We love our sneakers, but pink isn’t the first colour we’d go for. I know in my case, a pair in all black or grey would draw me in straight away!
But these can be an exception..
Nike WMNS Air Max 95 ‘Anthracite/Cherry/Dark Grey’.
There isn’t too much pink or cherry within this AM95 release to put me off and I’d definitely wear them! The anthracite to grey to white side panels sandwiched between the white mesh upper and dark midsole make this sneaker a must have for the cold, dull winter days ahead of us!
I haven’t seen these for sale in the UK yet, but we’ll let you know when we find them!
