Bee’s Latest Pick-ups

I popped into Footlocker recently to have a mooch at what goodies they had to offer for my Little Soles. To my delight, not one, not two, but three pairs of Nike Air Max 1 GS were staring me in the face.

I had a dilemma… I wanted them all. After soon realising that actually, this wasn’t such a huge dilemma, I got them all.

I had a spare pair of Reebok x Alife laces, which I think look great teamed with the subtle black-on-black safari print of these summer essentials. The blue accents and outsole of the toe area are a nice bright touch.

I’m not usually a fan of gold, or silver for that matter, on sneakers, but I’ve now figured out that this is because usually they’re metallic. The matte gold swoosh alongside the red accents have made these treats one of my favourite pairs in my collection.

The team orange accents and outsole around the toe area of these beasts made me fall in love with them instantly. Again, the use of a subtle grey-on-grey safari print is present, this time just on the swoosh, giving an extra little pop to an already-great colourway.

Nike Air Max 1 FB ‘Leopard’ Pack

Nike have treated us AGAIN with the up and coming release of the Air Max  FB ‘Leopard’ pack. The pack includes two colour-ways (blue and orange) that both feature a suede upper with an all-over leopard print and a neon sole; two trends we’ve seen a lot of over the past few months.

I’ll definitely be aiming to get my hands on the orange pair. Keep your eyes peeled for a confirmed release date soon.

 

Nike x Liberty

Nike have treated us all again with another Liberty collaboration, this time covering some timeless Nike silhouettes with iconic floral prints ‘Capel’ and ‘Pepper’ from the Liberty fashion house. The beloved Air Max 1, Roshe Run and Blazed Mid have all been updated with the floral prints just in time for summer.

The selection are also available to customise over on Nike iD with a larger size run and the option of more colours and accents for the same price as the standard collection.

Everything Is Purple…

We all remember the New Balance x Sneaker Freaker ‘Tassie Devil’ release that sent sneaker heads queuing round the block in March… well….. now the Sneaker Freaker fam have unveiled a fresh, new colorway of the Air Max 1.

Flexing an suede upper sporting 3 different shades of purple and a classic white midsole these babies really are a sight for sore eyes.

Chloe Ws Latest Pickups.

Recently I’ve bought a few new pairs of trainers; Nike Air Max 1 Engineered Mesh ‘City Pack’ and both of the Nike Huarache OG retros.

Nike AM1 Engineered Mesh:
IMG_0457 I bought these on a bit of a whim. I had some left over Christmas money and saw these in Size? and just went for it without really deciding on whether I liked them or not. It’s taken a while but I’ve definitely come round to really liking this pair. The leather mudguard is really good quality, much better than I have seen on a lot of the recent Air Max 1 releases. The shape is also a lot better than most of the recent releases, and I can’t resist a speckled sole!

IMG_0572 I’m just really not sure on whether I’m particularly bothered about these huaraches. Maybe I’ll come round to them soon, I just think that the stitching is really off in places, which makes them look cheap. There’s also some glue marks in areas – think i’ll use them for beaters!

I also picked these huaraches up a while back at the beginning of February. Gonna clean them up really good and give them to my boyfriend. Another great eBay bargain!

#AIRWEBREATHE

On Tuesday, I headed down to Covent Garden to help celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Nike Air Max. Over the years, that iconic little air bubble has been nested in the heel of some of the most innovative and beautiful trainers ever created – plus the Air Max 90 is the sneaker of choice on our Big Eyes banner! The event was a showcase of these very shoes, with the most famous silhouettes and colourways lining the hallway of the venue as you entered and UV lights enhancing the fresh white kicks on the podiums as well as on the feet of the guests.. Running with the slogan #AIRWEBREATHE, the decor included hospital breathing apparatus and mannequins with their vital organs replaced by Nikes and shoe laces. I was also given a Fuel Band, and I’m already addicted to it, running up and down the stairs at the end of the day if I haven’t made my target! Check out some photos of the night..

Nike ‘Year Of The Snake’ Pack

Out to the Little Soles… this one is strictly for you! Nike are continuing to celebrate the Year of the Snake in 2013 with two classic styles released in a striking snake skin theme.

A little insight into the Chinese lunar calendar… it states that those born in the Year of the Snake possess an infatuation with all things beautiful in life; which is clearly a fitting inspiration for this stunning collection. For obvious reasons, I am going to let the photos do the majority of the talking…

First up from the double pack we have one of Nike’s running icons, the Air Max 1:

Secondly is the Nike Dunk Sky Hi; a subtle lift in the heel of this classic court gives a feminine element to the sneaker game:

A Treat For Small Feet!

Yooo LADIES (and gentlemen)… For those of you that have been hitting up Big Eyes for a while, you may have noticed that I tend to fall in love with sneakers quiet often. To our new fam, welcome, and this is something you will become familiar with.

When I first saw these online I really wasn’t sure that I’d be keen on the vintage finish of the tongue on both colourways, the pink midsole of the first pair, or the shiny blue coloured leather of the others, but as the AM1 is one of my favourite silhouettes, I decided not to rule them out until I’d seen them in the flesh.

As I stepped inside Wellgosh last week, my eyes lit with joy as I clocked both pairs side by side and I think I actually skipped across the store like an over-excited child to these BEASTS! YES, I DID, I FELL IN LOVE AGAIN, INSTANTLY. The OG Nike label and the almost pearlescent leather give these treats that extra special something that, personally, I adore!

All Black Everything

If you know me, you’ll usually see me wearing all or mostly black… I just think it suits me better. Maybe it’s a sign of my ‘fashion sense’ maturing, who knows!

When these released, I was worried they wouldn’t be available for any of us smaller footed ladies… However, if you’re a UK 5.5 and up.. THEY ARE! (Unfortunately, I don’t fall into that category – iD possibly?)
