Jordan Spiz’ike Black/University Gold

So tomorrow (8th December) see’s the release of the Jordan Spiz’ike in a fresh colourway, Black/University Gold (which will also be a GS release so good news for little feet)!

The shoe carries a smooth black suede base with patent leather cement elements around the toe and on the side of the heel. University gold highlights the eyelets, Jumpman logo and the gold stitching to really make them POP!

Sleek and sophisticated. That’s my anatomy of these Spiz’ikes.

Most of us are very familiar with the inspiration behind the Spiz’ike, but for those who need enlightening…. the Jordan Spiz’ike shoe is inspired by Director Spike Lee’s Mars Blackmon commercials for Nike in the 90′s. The Spiz’ike combines a few  iconic elements of the Jordan III, IV, V, VI and XX to make this beauty.

Seein as it’s my birthday tomorrow, I can’t think of a better release to bless my day with :)

They will be available directly from Nike.com from the 8th of December (tomorrow!) so go check it and cop yourself a pair of black magic!

Vans Cold Weather Classics – Holiday 2012

Winter is upon us, daylight hours are shortened, the weather is getting more dreary and toes are getting colder! Fear not though… check out Vans offering of the Cold Weather Classics Holiday 2012 release, which will at least keep your heart warm whilst you’re waiting to cop a pair from this stylish, yet highly convenient pack!

I love this entire collection, which features a variety of Vans models, including the 106 vulcanized, classic Era and Mid Skool, as well as the all new Outdoor Switchback silhouette. With a mixture of watertight pigskin, vulc soles, suede uppers and fleece linings, this pack is top notch for the coming cold weather months. My personal favourites have to be the Mid Skool 77s in brown, so fresh!

Levi’s x Nike SB Dunk Low

The Levi’s x Nike SB Dunk Low’s are looking fresh to death! Flexin’ a black on black exterior, the shoe uses a canvas /denim look base with small flourishes of red over the Levi’s heel branding. Additional details include a co-branding insole and anther burst of red across the outsole making these look sleek and smart! Click the link at the bottom of the post for the Levi’s x Nike webpage and check out the specially created jeans and jacket for the collaboration, dope!

Demand for these are HOT with sneaker heads as they sold out pretty much straight away in NOTE Skate shop, Manchester. You can use the Levi’s store locator to find your nearest Levi’s x Nike SB distributor.

My Nike Olympic Experience

I was lucky enough to be invited down to the Nike Hospitality Suite during the Olympics to see all the Olympic kits and sneakers and to experience something special.
I was able to see all the Nike athlete kits up close and also those luminous spikes that we saw flash past us as the next Nike athlete won gold!
As well as trying out the new Nike Lunar+ Sportpack and seeing how the sensors work, I got to see Perri Shakes-Drayton’s incredible Liberty x Nike Zoom Victory Elite Spikes. This is the first time, in a Nike x Liberty colab, that Liberty have used their print on another brand’s material. These are so worth it! When I used to train, there was always competition of who could have the coolest/brightest spikes and Nike was the brand that we all used to run in. Mine were amazing, black and red and super light, but this was nearly 10 years ago and technology has changed so much since then.

I’m genuinely in love with those spikes, the luminous body with the Mirabelle heritage floral print and the gold spikes on the bottom.. any female athlete’s dream!
Thanks to the guys and Nike for inviting me down and a HUGE thanks for my Fuelband Ice, which is definitely an incredible motivation for me to keep fit.. I love seeing GOAL in flashing lights!

Seen From Afar

In the hellish queue on the way home from the Olympic semi finals of the football at Wembley Stadium last week, I spotted a fellow spectator’s trainers that caught my eye instantly.. Here they are!

The first pair (the ones the lady was wearing) are my favourite from this pack and I can see the camo-esque pair being a crowd-pleaser as well. There’s something about a sneaker with a no sew upper and its seamless build that makes the shoe appealing to me, probably because it just looks so sleek.

I know that this silhouette is one that most would prefer to see worn with gym clothes and not a girly dress or jeans but I feel that it’s the all over print that changes my perception of the shoe. As well as looking good, the shoes as always have technology behind them, with a barefoot-like feel due to its lightness and sole and the support from the build.

Go get ‘em!

Adidas All In

If like me, you’ve been massively obsessed with the Olympics over the past 2 weeks (and are severely depressed that there’s no sport on the TV at the moment) then you’ll love this!

My brother has been working ridiculously hard from a spot in the top of Westfield Stratford with some of the most creative people around to make sneakers relating to some of London 2012′s most incredible athletes.

To celebrate 10 years since Supreme’s first collaboration with Nike SB, the dynamic duo have teamed up again to bring you these babies. Inspired by all things Nike and all things FRE$H, these Nike SB Dunk Lows represent Supreme to the fullest as well as paying homage to this heavenly collaboration.

The ‘Supreme X Nike SB Dunk Low’ comes to us presented in the classic BRED (black and red for those of you who arn’t familiar with the term, and if you’re not, slap yourself now!) with the ever so popular elephant print, inspired by the Jordan III’s. If you copped the 2 other pairs of Supreme x Nike Dunk Lows, you’ll know that they are considered one of the best SB’s of all time, but I think these are probably going to tip the scale.
