Nike Air Max 180 Red Safari

So I’ll cut to the chase on this one, these Air Max 180s are straight fire. This colourway is unbelievably clean, with the red safari and speckled midsole really bringing to life to the wolf grey upper. The blue and green accents add just the right amount of colour without it looking too overdone. These beasts will be a summer banger, there is no release date as of yet or word on sizing but stay tuned for more info as it surfaces.

Tash’s latest pickups May 2013 edition

Nike Air Force 180 Mid ‘Dream Team’ 2012

Ever since these beasts dropped last summer I’ve been desperate to get my mitts on them, finally nearly a year on I managed to bag them off eBay for a small sum. I love this silhouette an insane amount, plus I’m overly excited about wearing the same kicks that Charles Barkley did during the 1992 Olympics. These are now a firm favourite in my collection.

Nike Air Force 180 Mid ‘Phoenix Suns’ 2012

These are another colourway that I was hoping to pick up last year but missed due to being away for 5 months. The contrast between the speckled midsole and all black upper is so dope and these shoes really stand out for me.

Beaches of Rio Pack Nike Air Max 90 EM 2013

These kicks speak for themselves, this whole pack was pretty ill but these stood out to me over the Air Max 1s as I feel the 1s look slightly odd without any kind of panneling. These AM90s are the perfect summer colourway with the engineered mesh material making them light and breathable for those hot summer days. These are a real neck breakers and I can’t wait for sunnier weather to give these their first outing.

Nike Air Huarache LE ACG Pack 2007

I’ve have been coveting this colourway since I peeped someone wearing them on instagram a couple of years ago, I finally managed to pick them up from @jkdptg on instagram in VNDS condition. You should all know by now that I can’t resist a speckled sole and the teal/yellow clash really sets these off.

That’s all for this installment, show us your latest pickups by hitting us up on twitter at @bigeyeslittlesoles  or by tagging #bigeyeslittlesoles on instagram.

Tash’s Latest Pickups…

Worrrrdy word!

So over the last couple of months I’ve picked up a few pairs of kicks that I’d like to share with you all.

Nike Huarache LE ACG Pack

First up, are my Nike Air Huarache LE ACG Pack in Violet (Medium Charcoal/Prsm Vlt-Ptch), back from 2007. I’ve always loved this pack with its premium materials and bold colours, and I was ecstatic when I finally managed to cop a pair of these in my size on eBay. The lush purple neoprene sock really complements the warm brown tones of the leather, and as you know by now I’m mad about speckled sole units. I’m still after the teal and mowabb colour ways, hopefully I’ll be able to complete the whole pack in the future.

Nike Air Huarache Footlocker Exclusive in Black/Black-Tour Yellow-White

Air Huarache LEs are definitely my favourite Nike silhouette, it’s the perfect design for a balance of ice cold style coupled with amazing comfort. So it was to my surprise and joy that I learned that Nike would be releasing a new selection of Huarache LE colour ways this summer. Although there have been some dope Huarache Free releases this year nothing really compares to the original sole unit for me, which really makes the shoe stand out from the crowd. I almost missed out on this sick colourway exclusive to Footlocker, but I’m so glad I managed to cop these in the end. The simplicity of the black suede upper and white midsole contrasted with the hints of yellow make this shoe pop. The neutral colour palette also makes these kick easy to rock with just about anything so these are quickly becoming a staple in my fits.

Asics Gel Lyte Speed in White/Lime

I’ve been after a pair of Asics for a while and picked these up on a whim from Offspring while in London recently. I love a splash of lime green so this colourway really spoke to me, plus once I noticed the speckled midsole I was hooked. These have been a really nice addition to my collection ready for summer and can’t wait to rock these with a white tee and denim shorts when the weather is on point.

Nike Air Max 1 x Liberty London

Last but not least, I finally managed to pick up a pair of these badboys! I was so impressed at the quality of these that I just had to pick up a pair instore, the lush materials and unique Liberty pattern make these real show stoppers. Although these are such a gorgeous shoe I think they’re a little too girly for my taste, so they’re now up for sale.  They’re a size UK 6 unworn deadstock, I’m looking for £115 o.n.o. shipped to the UK or £110 o.n.o. + appropriate shipping worldwide. Fallin’

Yes yes y’all!

It’s that time again when Nike release their A/W previews, and today I’m bringing you a sneak peak of Nike’s Fall 2012 Air Max 1 releases.

First up is the ladies release:

White/Mint Candy-Obsidian-Game Royal
319986-102

The addition of the black upper panel to this shoe brings an otherwise subtle pastel and white colourway to life, making for quite an unusual colour combination. I’m also a fan of the obsidian highlights featuring on the outsole and top lace eyelet. On the whole, I’m not entirely sold on this colour way but if it looks better in person I’m sure I could be easily swayed.

Dynamic Blue/Dynamic Blue/White
308866-444

The first of the men’s offerings comes in block dynamic blue, I’m a big fan of block coloured uppers and they remind me of a more mellow edition of this season’s block Cyber colourway. With a pair of fresh white laces these badboys will look ice cold, a perfect contrast to autumn’s browns, oranges and golds.

Light Bone/Summit White-Filbert
308866-035

Next up is this wholly more sophisticated affair, featuring differing shades of beige/bone and white. Comprising of nubuck and mesh, this shoe is not one for the faint hearted or those who trash their sneaks, if you get anything on these babies it’s game over.

 Summit White/Shaded Blue-Sandtrap
308866-117
Finally, we have what is probably my favourite of the bunch. This colour way for me is very reminiscent of Decemeber 2011′s WMNS White/Shale-Blue release, and even though I feel like Nike could have been a little more original this time around, the slightly lighter colourway is really working for me. The colours compliment each other perfectly and the leather tick is a subtle but classy touch.
Keep it Big Eyes for more info on these fall releases over the coming months and let us know which ones you’re feeling over on our twitter @BigEyesLilSoles

The body of the life force…

Yes yes y’all!

It’s finally time for me to blog about the release I’m most excited about this year. In 2012, we will finally see the return of the Nike Air Force 180 High, albeit minus the trademark pump. I know a lot of heads that will be of the opinion that no pump = no cop, but as much as this is a disappointment for me, there’s no way I can pass on these absolute BEASTS. The release will feature both the OG white colourway which David Robinson rocked as well as a new black colourway with purple to pink accents. Check them out below…

These are the originals:

As you can see, the pump at the top is in full effect on these beauties, and these really are some of the coolest looking kicks of all time, in my book anyway. Check the original ad from ’91 here:

These are set to hit stores holiday 2012, so keep your eyes on the Big Eyes until then.

UPDATE!! – Taste of the Tropics

You may remember the post I did a couple of months pack on these lusciously tropical Air Max 1s, well I’m pleased to announce that they are now available to pre-order from Crooked Tongues here. These release/ship in May and start from a 3 so are perfect for any little soles out there looking for a bright and tasty summer shoe. Even the colourway description sounds opulent: Melon-Crush/Hot-Punch/White/Yellow-Diamond.

Here are a few up-close photos for your viewing pleasure:

The contrast in materials between the suede and canvas upper looks pretty cool, and I’m glad that the toe-box is mesh as it will clean up much better than if it were canvas!

Send us some pics if and when you bag yours, I know I’ll hopefully be rocking mine when release day rolls around.

Peace and love,

Tash

Watch out for my medallions, my diamonds are reckless…

Yes yes y’all!

So y’all may or may not have seen the Jordan Gold Medal pack set to release for the Olympics this summer, but these beauties are serious fire, and I’m hoping and praying that these babies will launch in GS sizes. The pack comprises of opposing white and black pairs with hints of gold throughout following the gold medal theme. The Jordan VI and VII silhouettes are some of my personal favourites and these simple but fresh, olympic inspired colourways are definitely a great take on them for Summer 2012.

Here’s a closer look:

I’m a particular fan of the VII’s, especially the distinctive pattern on the tongue.

These are set to release in July/August and will only be available as a pack, so start saving now!

SPOTTED!!

Word up peeps!

So I was at work last Thursday and I spotted some serious heat on my colleague’s feet that I had to share with y’all.

Here are Adam T’s Nike Air Huarache Light Burst Safari Pack in Olive/Black…

6976144123_f45daaf292

These kicks are absolute beasts and the olive on black is very reminiscent of Supreme releases from the last few seasons. Wish I could find these beauties in sizes for mini-feet.

Viva Calypso

Yes yes y’all!

With Spring now upon us, it’s time for the S/S Nike releases to start flooding out.

Here we have the latest Huarache colour way, Light Bone/Soft Grey/Calypso. These are hands down my favourite colourway of all the Huarache Free 2012 releases so far, the teal/turquoise colour is gorgeous and really reminiscent of an OG Nike release. The soft neutral tones are lifted by the hint of colour through the side and bank panels, making for a very well put together colourway indeed. Although I’m not all that keen on the free sole, I think these babies more than make up for any reservations I may have and these will be a surefire cop for me.

Cop yours from End on pre-order now, or from your regional Nike retailers in April!

Peace and love,

Tash

I’m an adidas freak, a multi thousand pair of sneak freak…

Worrrrrdy word!

This joint is probably my favourite sneaker related hip hop track. When it comes to producers, Pete Rock is, in my estimation, second only to Dilla. This beat is heavy, plus Raekwon’s kick based lyrics are really on point here.

Get yourself a cuppa and a j and kick back to this one…
