The only place to be on Saturday night was Cable in London for a seeeerious rave put on by the Butterz and Hardrive labels.

Kicking off around 10.30, ravers were not only treated to dope sets from heavyweight DJs such as Kode9, Scratcha DVA, Swindle and DOK, but also live bars from some of grime’s finest. D Double E replaced P Money for a live PA on Terror Danjah’s set, everyone’s favourite duo Elijah & Skilliam were joined by Blacks and Bruza, and Family Tree member Merky Ace tore up Butterz family and badboy producer Royal T’s set, leaving me shouting “STANDARD” “ERGH” AND “NORMAL” for the rest of the night!

Personal highlights of the night have got to be the sets from Elijah & Skilliam and Champion, who played the best in UK Funky and definitely suprised me when he ended his set with a nice bit of old school grime. It’s safe to say I lost my mind when he dropped Alias’s Gladiator!
